Designing Multi-State Screens
Designing for multi-state screens is crucial because users interact with interfaces that constantly change based on actions, data, or system status. By considering all possible states—like loading, empty, error, and success we can ensure a seamless and intuitive experience, reducing confusion and frustration while maintaining user engagement.
The task here was to design for an RSS feed app. I’ve never used an RSS feed though so this one required a little research before coming up with screens. I decided to do a bottom menu like IOS devices do but I could see how a hamburger or kabob menu could provide more screen space. This exercise really showed that there are numerous scenarios that we need to address when creating screens for an app.
